Summary:
This position will be responsible to maintaining data records pertaining to payroll and human resources information for multiple site locations, Superintendent, and Project Managers.
The position reports directly to the Controller with matrix reporting to HR Director and will be based out of the Society Hill, SC office.
Travel to projects and client sites may be required.
Alternate working hours to support the business may be necessary at times.
Essential Duties and
Responsibilities:
Provides quality administrative support such as entering new hires, rehires, terminations, pay changes and data changes.
Maintains data in both payroll and benefit systems with accuracy and confidentiality and processes eVerify cases.
Review and validate accuracy of non-benefit weekly payroll deductions.
Responds to submitted packets if additional information is needed using company guided compliance programs.
Responds to Verifications of Employment and multi state Unemployment Wage/Benefits Request timely and accurately.
Responsible for proper record retention of electronic personnel files.
Responds to field partners on payroll inquiries and routes off cycle check requests appropriately.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent required, college coursework preferred as well as current degree seeking.
At least 1-year experience working in an office support/administrative role in Accounting, Billing, or Administrative Assistance is required.
A combination of college coursework and working experience will be considered.
Advanced level proficiency in Microsoft Excel - using formulas, formatting, mail merge, copy/paste.
Must be proficient in other Microsoft products such as Outlook, Word, OneDrive, Teams and Adobe Pro.
Prefer experience with enterprise software such as JD Edwards or UltiPro.
Heavy, repetitive data entry and accuracy is necessary and essential.
Ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment supporting many field sites/organizations.
Demonstrated experience in office environment dealing with public and/or customers in an industrial setting is preferred.
